 Braskarne's
terminal provides support to Seara Alimentos' export logistics activities
- storage and port operation - an average of 20 thousand tons monthly.
Its refrigerated chambers feature up to 7.500 tons of meat warehousing
capacity at - 22º C. The terminal also provides these services
to the main refrigerated product exporters.
It is the first privatized terminal in the Americas, fully operated
with its own manpower. Compared to the country's other terminals,
the productivity of loading and unloading refrigerated vessel items
has doubled in recent years. Since the beginning of its activities
in 1997, the cost of the services provided have been drastically reduced.
It was awarded the ISO 9002/94 certification and was recognized by
the missions sent by the Common European Market, the US, Russia and
other countries.
The HCCP system is fully implemented and supervised by the Ministry
of Agriculture and Supply which has a permanent Federal Inspection
Office (SIF 412) in the Company's subsidiary.
Therefore Braskarne has been commissioned by the country's main exporters/importers
to see their shipments through the terminal.
