The basic objective of Seara's environmental actions is the preservation of life. It aims at making its employees aware of the need for the protection of environmental resources, not only for the company's assets, but for human safety. We comply with the Brazilian Law in all our units, and have all necessary Environmental Licenses issued by the state environmental agencies. Our Waste Recycling project met all the expected objectives, and even contributed to the creation of companies and jobs in various communities in which the Company acts. The Environmental Policy includes engineering, environmental safety and production areas. Our Reforestation By-Product Processing, Effluent Emission Reduction in Production Plants and Liquid, Gaseous and Solid Effluent Treatment programs are periodically monitored.
   
  Safety
  Seara Alimentos has been practicing the PSI - Integrated Safety Program in all its units for almost ten years. The objective of the PSI is the assurance of the safety of the employees and the Company. In addition to training, periodical inspections of the quality and safety indices and external audits are carried out. The PSI allowed the Company to reduce the numbers of accidents to levels that match the more stringent international standards. The Management itself, who manages the productivity results by means of several control projects, coordinates the Loss Management Program.
